We are officially in daycare and doing well. After dreading it for the past two weeks, we finally started our transition into daycare on Wednesday. I cried and cried on Tuesday night but by Wednesday I only teared up a time or two.
Daddy and I both dropped you off. They were ready and waiting for you. You have your own cubby hole, jacket/bag hook, everything. They all were super excited for you to be there. This made us feel so much better. You went right into Ms. Amanda's arms. She is the assistant director of the daycare, who helps out in the infant room. You have three teachers...Ms. Patrice, Ms. Patricia, and Ms. Lindsey. You have EIGHT GIRLS in your class and ONE BOY, who is only part time. Daddy is happy because that means no boyfriends yet, but I see many cat fights and hormones flying in that room. :)
Your little lip quivered when we were telling you bye, but I think you were just confused what was going on. Mommy and Daddy went to eat lunch at Firehouse together before we both went to work. Then at 3:30 I came back to get you. I was so excited because I just knew when I picked you up I would get the BIGGEST SMILE and I could not wait. Nope, second best!! You were sound asleep. You were in a little swing, just swinging away. I unhooked you and took you out, held you while I talked to your teacher, put you in your car seat, drove you home and then got you out of the car seat at home. You did not even stir until I got you home. THEN I GOT THAT BIG SMILE!! But, I would call it a success! You must have really played your little heart out.
Today you went back for your last transition day. Daddy dropped you off super early this morning and I picked you up at noon. Ms. Patrice said you were great! It was PICTURE DAY!! YOUR FIRST SCHOOL PICTURES!! I was so excited. We sent you with your Easter dress. I was hoping for the best, but just knew you may be sleepy, fussy, or just not having it. But, when I went to pick you up, they said you did wonderful with your pictures!! I am so excited to be able to see/order them!! They said you had another great day, minus the fire drill! Every month they have to do the fire drill. Today was obviously the day...and you were sleeping and it must have scared the dickens out of you. Other than that, perfect little girl!
Mama doesn't want to leave you at daycare baby, but you have helped make it easier than I expected. You seem to enjoy it. I love your teachers. And I cannot wait to see everything you learn and the friendships you make. Mama loves you baby girl and I am so proud of you!
