Baby Books and Hot Chocolate

I know quite a few people who have kept an online blog during pregnancy/early years of life and ended up printing it out all fancy and ta-da, ladies and gentlemen, we have a baby book.  I am sure we will have you a real baby book as well, but I do think it's neat we can capture all the little moments, feelings, pictures, etc. all in one place and be able to give this to you one day.  I am determined to keep up with it for you.

Tonight, daddy took me to Krispy Kreme after we had our date night at The Woodshed.  It was 93 degrees outside, humid as can be and I got hot chocolate!!  I drank it to the very last drop and then nearly licked the cup clean.  Babycakes, I sure hope you do not crave hot chocolate during our super hot Carolina summers...but after tonight, I'm afraid you may.  Oh boy!

Love you sweet thing!!!

There is a YOU....

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted my petition which I asked of Him."  Samuel 1:27

There is a YOU and we are absolutely thrilled.  I have prayed for you before you even existed and cannot thank God enough for answering my prayer. You are already so loved!

We had our first ultrasound last week....you are one perfect little blob!  Your heart rate was 145 bpm, which is right in the middle and makes it difficult to guess if you are a boy or girl. I feel deep down you are a girl, but I will be completely satisfied either way. You were only .93 cm long, but by the end of this week, you will be almost an inch.  Grow, baby, grow!!!  We saw you (the little blob) squirming around, although I cannot feel you yet, and we got to see your heart pumping out blood.  Seeing that and hearing your racing heartbeat definitely brought tears to my eyes....something I will never forget.

I have had morning sickness, that last all day, and heartburn after everything I eat which radiates all the way to my pinky toes...as miserable as it is, I will endure it as long as you need. It makes it seem more real to me and reminds me that you are in there growing.

I cannot wait for you to meet your family...everyone is so excited to meet you.  You are definitely blessed with a wonderful, loving family. I am most excited to see you with your daddy.  He is ecstatic about you!  He's been reading books, talks about you, kisses and rubs my belly....you sure did luck out with one amazing dad!

We cannot wait to hold you.  Until then, keep cooking little one...
WE LOVE YOU!!!
